Romantic Dinner For Two, Please!

Eating out is my favorite thing to do because I get to try new food and create a different experience every time. Fort Lauderdale is full of  restaurants and rooftop bars but this particular place has always kept me coming back – the Melting Pot Fondue Restaurant. This place is special to me because this is where I like to spend my Valentines with my beau but it’s perfect for any occasion. The setting and the environment that Melting Pot offers is super cozy and fun.

The Melting Pot experience comes with a hostess seating you down at the table. Always choose a booth because they come with the curtains to give you the sense of privacy while you eat. The table has the induction burner that’s already set at a required temperature. Your waitress will  set up a pot to heat it up for your cheese appetizer while she takes your drink orders. The full meal includes the appetizer, salad and the main meats (shrimp, steak, chicken, and lobster).

One thing that you have to keep in mind is that it’s expensive. With that being said, how do I solve my problem of eating fondue and not paying a fortune?! The solution is easy – buy the fondue set up for your home. It’s cheaper and you can do it whenever you’d like. I have included few of the recipe links below about achieving the Melting Pot experience at home.

Recipe #3

For a perfect fondue you have to pick the perfect pot. I went home and started investigating 🙂  With so many styles  you are not sure which pot is perfect to use but Ninko is here to help you make the good decision. There are different types of fondues to use for cheese and meats. Below is the list that you can check out.

Fondue Under $100

Most of the Fondue sets come with six skewers but depending on who is selling it it could be less or more than six utensils. The ceramic pot is best type of pot for melting the cheese. The reason for it is because it conveys the heat evenly so the cheese won’t burn on the pot.
