My current obsession, which I had to so share it with you right away, is a food delivery service called Hello Fresh. It's a subscription service that delivers all the ingredients you'll need to make a fabulous dinner for 2 or 4 people. The selection is enormous and prices aren't bad either. So this is my true and honest review of Hello Fresh.
What is Hello Fresh?
It's a subscription based meal delivery system. You can select how many meals you'd like to receive each week and the portion size. You can choose from 2 or 4 people meal kit or a family kit. You have a total control of how frequently you'd like to receive your box. You can do monthly subscription or you can skip a week, it's all up to your budget.
If you choose a Classic Plan or a 2 meal family plan, you are able to choose your recipes according to your taste. Hello Fresh really hooks their clients up.
Why do I love Hello Fresh?!
Since we are being honest, I'd like to mention that I am not the greatest cook but with Hello Fresh I feel like I'm working for a 3 star Michelin chef. These are my three reasons why I love Hello Fresh:
- If you are having trouble on the creative side, Hello Fresh gives you everything you need to cook delicious meals that you wouldn't try on your own. You learn new techniques and new ways to cook meals.
- My produce always goes bad. When I go shop at the grocery store, I buy anything I think I can cook but after shoving it in the fridge and forgetting about it, the product simply goes bad. With Hello Fresh, they give you exact amount of food you'll need to make the meals so nothing gets left.
- It is not frozen food. When you get the meals delivered they are freshly packaged meals. You can taste the difference in Hello Fresh products and stuff you get from a grocery store.
If you are big on working out, Hello Fresh could be an easy way to eat healthy and stay fit. After my weekend warrior workouts, I whip-up a Hello Fresh meal ( 40 min) and I'm set for lunch and dinner.
What comes in the box?
Each meal comes with a recipe card and ingredients - all depending on the recipe.
Out of the three meals, I chose a Maple and Mustard Glazed Pork Chops to cook. I love pork chops but I never know how to make them the correct way. Today I was a happy gal - I made a maple & mustard glaze. Like whatt?
Inside my box:
- Yukon Gold Potatoes
- Dijon Mustard
- Pork Chops
- Mixed Greens
- Sunflower Seeds
- Maple Syrup
- Chicken Stock Concentrates
- Full Harvest Spice Blend
- Dried Cranberries
and the ice packs to keep the items fresh.
Things You should know before ordering!
I look at Hello Fresh as Birchbox for food. That is if you don't choose your meals; it's like getting a surprise in a box. However, you should keep in mind:
If you are a picky eater or your pallets prefer ordinary food don't order from Hello Fresh.
Other than that, if you like watching cooking shows on Netflix or Food Network and want to know how to whip up an easy, mouth-watering dish, Then you definitely need to give Hello Fresh a try.
