Fringe Fashion: Summer’s Hottest Trend – 2018.

When I look at fringe fashion it reminds me of my ballroom dancing costumes or the 70's theme parties. However, fringe has reinvented itself and made it to the summers hottest trend of 2018.

Even though, fringe fashion has been in style ever since Marilyn Monroe was first seen wearing a beautiful black fringe dress, sparkling diamond necklace and the tassel bedecked hem in my favorite move Some Like It Hot. Fringe became a thing after that.

Today the streets of Paris are filled with fringe styled fashion and designs. Each designer comes up with new ways of styling the trend. For example, Balmain and Acne Studios have incorporated Fringe as part of their Fall/Winter runway shows in 2017. However, each designer brings something new to the table. Fringe can have many styles and designs.

I look at this trend as playful and fun since every girl has twirled in their dress once or twice and fringe dresses do just that. In the dance world, most of the Latin dancing requires fringed styled outfits so that the movements of the hips can be exaggerated.

If fringe styles are not your area of expertise that's okay. Start by subtly adding an accessory to your outfit and later move to a statement piece. By end of summer, you might only shop fringe. You never know which way the fashion will make you sway.

Below are some of my favorite pieces from different brands that you love.

River Island

Saks Fifth Avenue

Pretty Little Thing

End Note:

As you can see, fringe styles come in different shapes and designs. I love everything about this playful and youthful fringe styles that all the designers are picking up. Summers should be all about twirls and girl talks. Happy Shopping fashionistas!

When I was little my mom always cut my hair in a fringe, and in my teenagers I couldn’t leave without it, now I’m in my mid-20s, having a side fringe annoys me hahaha But I’m thinking of maybe trying it out again.
